Grindstone Charley’s launched their Southern Table Tour Menu this past week at all Locations. The menu represents Owner Perry Fogelsong’s drive back from Florida this past Spring with dishes he sampled in Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina.
Guests can choose from the following new options: Deviled Eggs dressed with crumbled bacon bits and sriracha. A Georgia Pecan Kale & Spinach Salad with baby kale, spinach, craisins, red onion, grapes, honey roasted pecans, grilled chicken and a warm poppy seed dressing. A classic Shrimp Po-Boy Sandwich with four large gulf shrimp, a sriracha mayo on a hoagie roll. A Louisville Hot Brown dish with house roasted turkey, pecan smoked bacon and a pecorino-romano cheese sauce. Lastly a Mardi Gras Steak with sautéed shrimp and a blue cheese aioli.
Of Course Grindstone Charley’s already has some great southern dishes that include Fried Green Tomatoes, Fried Catfish and Jambalaya.
“For dessert we bought back our famous Strawberry Shortcake, which we serve every year at our Kokomo location and it is a big hit with our customers.” said Vice President Mel Wildermuth. The strawberry shortcake is house baked split biscuit, fresh strawberries, and whipped cream.
Four Southern Style cocktails are featured on the menu including a Mint Julep.
